CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! OfficeMax announces Teacher of the Year Ana Tejada, third-grade teacher at Cleveland Elementary School, is shown with the OfficeMax employees Tuesday after she was named OfficeMax Teacher of the Year. One Cleveland Elementary School teacher was in for a big surprise Tuesday morning. Third-grade teacher Ana Tejada went into your classroom and was surprised by her students, principal and the office max employees. She was caught off-guard when Cleveland Elementary Principal Shannon Malone announced that Mrs. Tejada was named OfficeMax Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Tejada received a box full of about $1,000 worth of school supplies, including a digital camera. She also received a bouquet of flowers and a teacher’s chair. Mrs.Tejada started her career working at Cleveland Elementary 15 years ago. In a nationwide survey, OfficeMax found that teachers spend an average of $1,000 of their own money each year on classroom supplies. OfficeMax partnered with Adopt-A-Classroom to launch “A Day Made Better,” a nationwide event held once a year to recognize more than 1,000 teachers, according to the store’s website. Pasadena OfficeMax store manager said local school administrators nominate one teacher from their school for the award. Mrs. Tejada was completely surprised by the announcement. She plans to share the supplies with the school. ![]() With the Pasadena Office Max staff ![]() Parents we have some changes added to our academic calendar for the school
